Poster and social media post designed for AIGA for their Day of the Dead call for entry and exhibition. I chose to create a simple mariachi guitar for the call for entry and one with day of the dead icons to reference the festivities and make it be more inviting and fun. Both guitars include a pencil as the neck, as a reference to the designers, but the pencil on the call for entry is worn-out while on the invitation it is new. This is a reference to the shows theme which is rejection and how the worn-out pencil would be rejected by designers for a new one.
